เกจแรงดันลม and its sister firm Energy Steel have been awarded multi-million dollar contracts to help the ITER project in France.

Hayward Tyler’s contract covers variable drive booster pumps whereas Energy Steel will provide 62 solenoid valve and cubicle packages.
The ITER venture is a joint international analysis and development venture to demonstrate the scientific and technical feasibility of fusion power. The demonstration facility is beneath development in St-Paul-lez-Durance in France, and will be the largest fusion experimental reactor on the planet.
Hayward Tyler’s booster pumps shall be an integral part of the drying system for the Tokamak Cooling Water System (TCWS). The pumps might be designed, built and examined at Hayward Tyler Inc in Colchester, Vermont, USA.
Hayward Tyler and Energy Steel are both a half of the Engineered Pumps and Motors Division of Avingtrans plc.
“We are elated that two of our companies can supply merchandise that can contribute to this ambitious venture,” stated Mike Turmelle, managing director of Avingtrans’ Engineered Pumps and Motors Division. “We’re committed and proud to contribute to the superior nuclear business.” These contracts observe previous awards that ITER has made to Avingtrans’ Engineered Pumps and Motors Division.
