Valves installed in drinking water transport methods have to meet stringent demands, both by method of design and materials employed.
To satisfy these requirements the KSB Group’s SISTO Armaturen S.A. in Luxembourg has launched its SISTO-16RGAMaXX diaphragm valve sort series, featuring threaded sockets, a stainless-steel physique and a special drinking water diaphragm.
The body is manufactured from 1.4409, a cloth that is notably immune to chlorinated water and suitable for consuming water. To keep the fluid handled clean, the physique is designed with out useless quantity, thus preventing deposits in the valve. Nominal sizes range from Rp 1/2”- 3”.
The confined and supported diaphragm maximises service life and is designed for a strain of sixteen bar. It is manufactured from high-quality elastomer (EPDM/W270) and meets the German Environment Agency’s necessities on plastics suitable for drinking water purposes (KTW-BWGL). The valves cowl a temperature vary from -10 °C to +90 °C. Incredibly means the sort sequence is also extremely suitable for thermal disinfection.
Since the threaded stems for actuating the valves are not involved with the fluid dealt with, they will continue to deliver clean operation even after a few years of use. Improved fitted prevents any exterior contamination and in addition serves to point the valve place. Closing torques are minimised by a smooth-running thrust bearing.
