Phuket governor says island will stay open for tourists, despite rise in infections

The governor of Phuket has reassured native businesses that the island remains open for tourists under its sandbox scheme. Narong Wunsiew says that regardless of a steep rise in Covid-19 case numbers, there are not any plans for a lockdown.
