Three new N-Eupex couplings and optimised flexible components

Flender is increasing the portfolio of its versatile coupling sequence N-Eupex by introducing three new varieties. The new products permit users additional flexibility of their systems without dropping the compact design and excessive load capacity of a pin coupling.
The new N-Eupex ERN is provided with a torque limiter, which offers even more
safety within the drivetrain in many functions. The coupling variant permits customers to
specify a most torque in order that critical torques for the motor and output machine
usually are not transmitted. Machines and techniques are shielded from overload and
damage, thus considerably growing system availability.
With the N-Eupex B plus clamping element, Flender introduces a second new
coupling that ensures frictionally engaged clamping connections. In Authority , the
plain, cylindrical machine shaft end is connected to the coupling hub by way of a clamping
connection with no feather key and service capacity is elevated. For example,

With the N-Eupex DKS, a new double-cardanic coupling is launched as a “short

distances, the DKS is the shortest possible double-cardanic answer for the market.
The shortened general size permits cost-optimized use with a small shaft distance
dimension without shedding the benefits of a double-cardanic coupling connection.

to the previously used rubber components made from NBR, Flender now also offers
elastomers manufactured from thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU). Following the torque
increase for all N-Eupex couplings with NBR packings in 2020, using TPU
packings permits the ability density to be increased by one other 20 percent on
average. For sizes 300 and above, the acquainted NBR elastomer is combined with
cloth inserts and the torque capacity is once more raised.
